Hello! My name is Maddie Kerr. I am a PhD student in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, where I focus on the sociology of health, disability, and science. I broadly study how experts, activists, and everyday people produce knowledge about what it means to be “healthy.”
My research is published in The Sociological Quarterly, Sociology of Health and Illness, Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity, and Journal of Diversity in Higher Education. I am currently supported by the National Science Foundation as a Graduate Research Fellow.
